Oil will thicken in cooler temperatures, so if your vehicle’s oil is already too thick, it may not do the best job at lubricating your engine.
Wiper Blades - Now is the time to also replace your windshield wiper blades. They typically need replacement once a year, but if they are frequently used, you may find they wear out every few months.
Battery - Now is the perfect time to examine your battery and make sure all connections and posts are corrosion-free. If your battery is over three years old, take it to a repair shop for a new charge.
Belts and Hoses - Have all belts and hoses also examined for wear and tear, even if your car is fairly new. Cold weather will wear out your belts and hoses quickly, so you need to check that they are still in good shape.
